Monday roundup - Bison at Phantoms 02/01/2012
3rd of January 2012
Marcel Petran scored the winning penalty shot on Monday evening as the ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison continued where they left off in 2011 by making it 3 wins in a row with a 4-3 shoot-out victory in Peterborough. Phantoms built up a 2 goal lead through goals from Ondrej Lauko and Luke Ferrara, but Bison hit back through Joe Miller and Daniel Volrab to leave the score tied at 2 going into the final period. Ollie Bronnimann put Bison in front for the first time before Jeff Glowa tied the game once more for Phantoms. There was no further scoring in the 3rd period or overtime, leaving the game to be decided via shoot-out. Matt Colclough stood tall in the Bison net, facing 4 penalty shots and was only beaten once by Ondrej Lauko. Ollie Bronnimann and Joe Miller both had unsuccessful attempts for the Bison but Daniel Volrab and man-of-the-match Marcel Petran were able to find the net giving Bison the victory.

The Bison are next in action at home on Saturday 7th January when local rivals the Bracknell Bees are the visitors, 6:30pm face-off.
