The ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison will be looking to extend their winning run to six games on Saturday night, but standing in their way at the Basingstoke Arena will be the Manchester Phoenix.
The visitors themselves are in red hot form having won their last six games and will hope that streak does not go up in smoke as they travel south for a game which has a 6.30pm face-off.
Basingstoke has proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Phoenix this campaign with a 100 per cent record so far, but you can be sure that the Herd will be doing their upmost to make sure there is no clean sweep.
In their last two road trips to Manchester the Bison were victorious, so Saturday’s encounter should be fascinating.
The Herd will be at full strength and after great home wins over Guildford and Bracknell, they would love to add Manchester to the list.
The Phoenix will still be without injured player/coach Tony Hand and Tom Duggan who scored a hat-trick when last in Hampshire may also miss the trip.
However, that still leaves Manchester with plenty of forward firepower including former Bison Ciaran Long.
Looking ahead to Saturday’s big game Bison player/coach Steve Moria said: “We want to win the game to take the series over the Phoenix, but to do that we are going to have to stick to our game plan.
“In previous games here they have made the most of our mistakes as they have the offensive weapons to capitalise on that.”
Moria added: “We want to move up the standings and beating Manchester is certain to help us in that aim - as well as keep our nice little streak going.”
Tickets for the game which is sure to be another great night at the Basingstoke Arena are available from the box office on (01256) 355266 or via the Bison website.
On Sunday, the Bison travel to Telford for a game which has a 5.30pm face-off hoping to complete a clean sweep of wins in Shropshire for the season and also avenge a defeat the last time these teams met in Basingstoke.
