Bison hope Lightning does not strike again!
19th of January 2012
The Add Recycling Basingstoke Bison entertain title chasing Milton Keynes Lightning on Sunday night.

When these sides battled it out at the Basingstoke Arena earlier this season, they served up a thriller which had the fans of both sides on the edge of their seats until the final buzzer as MK just sneaked a win 1-0.

This time around there is sure to be more goals with the Bison keen to reverse the result in a game which has a 5.30pm face-off.

Both sides go into the weekend at full strength and the Herd, who lost last Saturday at home to in-form Manchester, will be looking to return to winning ways and show the form that saw them beat league leaders Guildford and local rivals Bracknell.

Looking ahead to his side's clash with Milton Keynes, Bison player/coach Steve Moria said: "When we played MK earlier in the season I felt we played well but came up against hot goal tender. We know they will come here and play an aggressive fore-checking style so we have to be ready to move the puck quickly. We also have to make sure we get traffic in front of the net to increase our chances of scoring."

Tickets for Sunday night's game are available from the Basingstoke Arena box office on (01256) 355266 or via the Bison website.

The previous night, the Herd are in action at Swindon looking to maintain their 100 per cent record against their Wiltshire rivals.

The game has a 5.45pm face-off at the Link Centre, with the Bison looking to maintain their recent impressive winning form on the road.
