Bison aim to shoot down Jets
26th of January 2012
The ADD Recycling Basingstoke Bison will once again be looking to shoot down the Slough Jets when they arrive in town on Sunday evening.

When these local rivals last met back in October at the Hangar, the Herd ran out 7-3 winners.

On the Jets last visit to Basingstoke it was goal feast with Slough winning 7-6, this was despite ‘Mr Jazz Hands’ himself Marcel Petran netting a hat-trick.

Games between these sides are always exciting due to the fact that so many players on both sides having worn both Bison and Jets jerseys and Sunday will be no exception.

The action gets underway at 5.30pm.

Basingstoke are at full strength coming into the weekend and keen to chalk up a win on home ice after a couple of recent losses.

Bison player/coach Steve Moria said: “We have not played Slough for a while and like us they have not been able to get a winning streak going. Every game we play is important, but against the Jets these are big games.

“We still have to play them four times and beating them will help us move up the standings.”

Tickets for the game which is sure to be another great derby game at the Basingstoke Arena are available from the box office on (01256) 355266 or via the Bison website.

Before entertaining the Jets on Sunday night, the Bison travel to Milton Keynes the previous evening looking for their seventh road win on the trot.

The game will see the home side give a debut to new Finnish import Tuomas Tikkanen and the face-off in MK is 7pm.
